Pictures of New Field in Hanna Area. 56k beware!!!

With 2 houses, a garage, and no less than 6 other out-buildings, this field has a huge amount of potential but will need some work.

We will be organising several all-ranks clean-up days followed by many construction days to get this field in tip-top shape.

All Kidding aside, this field is about 1/3 the size of Claybank and we can easly host a 150 person Mil-Sim. And we are going to get there! With the options we have for this field we can run a big Mil-Sim every couple months and never use the same scenario twice.

To this end, we will also begin construction of props for the field in the new year. Assistance will also be required for this task. We will be building items like Surface to Air battery, radio tower(s), etc.

In short, we are going to have to do a lot of work but the rewards will be worth it.

Thanks Wade, Dan, Linda, Jager and Mikey for coming out to the new Craigmyle/Hanna Airsoft Field. Glad you all see the potential that Mikey and I saw when we first went out there a while back now.
Yep, lots of clean up to do but a lot of great ideas too! Quite excited about all the possiblilities.
I want to thank the landowner (Gary and Dolores) for the faith they put in me from the start. Couldn't ask for a more accommodating landowner. I look forward to a long, healthy association with him.
The pictures are great but of course can't quite capture being there and seeing the lay of the land with your own eyes.
We look forward to seeing everyone out there often and enjoying themselves. WOOT WOOT !!!!

how do we get there?

Any planed dates for some of our cleanup efforts? With the snow we are limited to what we can accomplish, but it might be worth while to get some work done. Since once it's cleaned up we can use it and start organizing some mil-sim games there.

hard to explain, but, if coming from Hanna heading toward Craigmyle, take hwy 9 west till you hit hwy 851 and turn north and its on the left just before the turn off onto township road 344.

Having been by there last week, the road up looks pretty choked off right now.
Without ready access, unless I can get the Backhoe up there the day of, it could be tough to get materials in.
But, if we can get the road in cleared, for now we could probably do things like board up some windows to slow any further degradation of the two houses. We could also stake off some areas we feel could be good spots for HQ's or bunkers/pill boxes or the like.
We also could pick up/ relocate some of the debris in the houses to a more central location for later disposal.

It would most likely be in the New Year now, but the first forecasted decent weekend should be a go. We'll post up a notice when the 5 day forecast shows promise.

Thanks for the excitement, Mikey and I have been planning as well and are eager to share our research/ideas with you all.

HOLEY COW! i know the last post was a while ago, but thats no more than 2 hours from where i live! this is awesome. and so being a noob i have to ask, so are games posted on here invite only or can we just tell people when we are coming?

also, if/when will the next work bee/cleanup be? i would love to come help...

Welcome to the forums Killbox416.

We do usually post on this forum about when we are planning to go out to the field, usually depends on wether or not there are enough people coming out to make it worthwhile.
We will be planning a cleanup for sometime in later September and it will definitely be posted on this forum.
Someone who likes airsoft, and is enthusiastic about it is never annoying.
I will let you know that you will have to get your parents to co-sign a waiver before being allowed to play on most fields, as you are under 18. I could email or fax one to you so when you are able to come out, you are ready to go.
BTW, the "56K beware" thing was just a warning to those with slower internet connections that there are a lot of big pictures in this thread.

Feel free to ask any other questions and someone here will be glad to help you out.
