2011 Meet and Greet!!!

Just wanted to say it was great to get out and finally meet everyone. I'm looking forward to an excellent season (being cannonfodder and learning) lol

Damn, didn't recognize you from your avatar. Ya, good to meet you man. We'll see you out at the new field (Wolfshead Hill) this summer.

Well everyone, another annual meet & greet is in the books. I want to thank everyone who came out and partook in the festivities. I hope everyone had a good time this year.

There was a total of 33 that attended this event which is more than double (14) from what we had last year. And the best part was the number of new players that attended! For all you new guys, I hope we see you regularly throughout the season.

As usual, a special thanks goes out to Bob for the Bent Barrels continued support of our events. And to those who brought along food and other munchies, thank you very much. The meal was great!!!! Pulled pork, chilli, meat trays, vegies, and desert...... Going to be hard to top that next year!

On that note, I have to wonder if we may actually have to find another venue for 2012? If we have the same kind of growth year over year, I don't know if I have enough room to keep this event at my place.

Last of all, it was nice to see that there was no damage to speak of and the trash level was remarkably limited to two bags! Kat and I thank you all for a memorable evening and for making this event a resounding success!

See you all very soon and I'm really looking forward to getting the season under-way. Keep visiting the forums and watch for training dates and a preliminary schedule.

I'd like to thank you for having me as well. The Spartans have always been great supporters of The Bent Barrel. We always have a great time. Next bout, there'll be a door prize!

Don't worry! I was looking at the s-thunder website today and we can also get pink and blue. That's right, we can now turn you into a Smurf with Pink Eye.

Always good to run down to Brooks and see the team mates , thanks to Wade and Kat, for the hospitality and the great time. It's always good to have everyone make it to these events, keeps everyone happy and get to meet everyone. Even the crazy ones, who play with yellow powder.....

Yes, the meet and greet was awsome again! And it was very nice to meet all the new people.

Maybe for next year if we exspand again (14 in 2010 to 33 in 2011 meaning possibly 45-50 in 2012) Stew did say a while back that he could get the keys to the Rolling Hills hall, that might be the route to go. Funny how we always volunteer him for stuff, gonna miss that boy when he gets posted someplace else.

Edwin has the keys to the Hanna hall also.....LOL

I wonder if Wade remembers what he said the day we met to go to the new field (close to Craigmyle). He didn't think to much of the hall that day and said so.

Well, you have to admit it doesn't look like much from the outside Edwin....

Like may things, outside appearances don't often reflect what is inside.

I ate crow. It was an excellent venue which I would have no problem using again.
