Why is it called airsoft when the hits aren't so soft and you are not hit by the air itself.... lol

Compared to a real bullet the hits are "soft".... originally designed for military and law enforcement training but made it's way mainstream to civilians. Instead of being propelled by gun powder as in real ammo, that is substituted for and electric, over mechanical, over "Air" system that creates ones mech box! Air is the last driving factor that is the main propellent for the game we call AIRSOFT!!!!
